Generally, such as the body temperature measurement of adults and children at home or the simple temperature monitoring of the hospital, we can use mercury thermometer or electronic thermometer to measure the body temperature through the contact with the body surface of the mouth, armpits, rectum, forehead, etc., so as to determine whether the body is in the normal temperature range. 

For surgical patients, ICU patients and some special care patients need more stable and accurate body temperature monitoring, and body temperature probe (body temperature probe is also called medical temperature sensor) can be used in combination with monitor. The body temperature probe is used in combination with the monitor, which can more accurately, safely and comfortably perform continuous body temperature management for the patients, and this body temperature probe plays an increasingly important role in the prognosis period during anesthesia and after perioperative period. 

Because the reusable temperature probe is used for a long time, the accuracy will be reduced and the risk of cross infection will be increased. At present, most ICU wards of many large hospitals or departments requiring real-time monitoring of the patient 's body temperature in China use disposable medical temperature sensor as an important tool for the patient' s body temperature management.
