1x eBioscience TMB Solution is a sensitive chromogenic substrate provided as a single, ready-to-use solution. TMB (3,3',5,5'-Tetramethylbenzidine) is a substrate for horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and is recommended for use in Ready-Set-Go! ELISA kits.

During the enzymatic reaction, TMB substrate will produce a blue color that can be read at 650 nm on a spectrophotometer. This kinetic reaction can be stopped with 1 M phosphoric acid, resulting in a color change to yellow that can be read at 450 nm.
