OneComp eBeads react with antibodies of mouse, rat and hamster origin and are independent of immunoglobulin light chains . Microbeads are spherical particles that can be stained with individual fluorescent dye-conjugated antibodies and can be used as single-color compensation controls.
Each drop of microbeads contains two populations: a positive population that will capture any mouse, rat, or hamster antibodies and a negative population that will not react with the antibodies. When a fluorescent dye-conjugated antibody is added to the beads, both positive and negative populations are generated. This bimodal distribution can be used as a single-color compensation control in multicolor flow cytometry experiments.
OneComp eBeads cross-react with certain rabbit-derived antibodies, but we have not fully tested for this reactivity. OneComp eBeads are designed to compensate for all fluorescent dyes excited by blue (488 nm), green (532 nm), chartreuse (561 nm), and red (633-635 nm) lasers. This product is compatible with eFluor™ 450, but is not suitable for compensation of other fluorescent dyes excited by violet (405 nm) lasers.
