PureLink RNA Mini Kit is a column-based kit that uses standard laboratory equipment to generate from a variety of High-quality total RNA was isolated from the sample type. The kit includes RNase-free lysis and wash solutions that protect RNA from RNase while releasing RNA from DNA, proteins, and other cellular debris. The fast spin column workflow is ideal for processing low to medium throughput batch sizes. The advanced PureLink RNA mini spin column design improves sample loading (200 mg tissue) and RNA recovery (up to 1000 µg). This means users can use the same RNA isolation kit for both small and large samples.
•Use one spin column to process from 5–200 mg of animal/plant tissue or 0.5 x 10
6 to 10
8 tissues in 20 minutes Loading volumes of cultured cells
• Isolate more RNA than competitive mini spin columns: Obtain up to 1000 µg of total RNA using one column
• Isolate RNA for most applications without further DNase treatment ( Very low residual DNA)
• Flexible –
PureLink DNase Kit Optional on-column or separate Post-DNase treatment, easily removes residual DNA
Extreme binding capacity enables rapid purification of RNA using standard laboratory equipmentPureLink RNA Mini Kit can purify RNA from a variety of cell and tissue types Rapidly purify total RNA, yielding up to 1000 µg of purified RNA in a single extraction (see Figure 1). High-quality total RNA can be obtained from small to medium amounts of starting material with only trace amounts of genomic DNA contamination. The large binding capacity enables one kit to meet most RNA isolation needs in a rapid 20-minute protocol, without the need for special sample processing equipment.
Simple, optional, on-column DNase treatment for sensitive applicationsPureLink RNA Miniprep Kit columns efficiently isolate high-quality total RNA while removing most genomic DNA . In general, most applications requiring the use of RNA from animal tissues or mammalian cell lines do not require additional DNase treatment. However, for qRT-PCR gene expression analysis of biological samples that do not use intron-spanning primers or have very small or even no introns, it may be necessary to completely remove residual contaminating DNA.
PureLink DNase Set facilitates on-column DNA digestion in RNA isolation protocols. "On-column" DNase treatment is simpler and results in higher RNA recoveries than DNase treatment after RNA isolation. PureLink DNase Set can also be used to remove residual DNA from previously purified RNA. PureLink DNase kits can be used in both "on-column" and post-RNA purification workflows.
Simplified, non-toxic RNA purificationPureLink RNA miniprep kits utilize non-toxic guanidinium isothiocyanate lysis buffer to protect RNA during isolation. Special RNase-free reagents are combined with certified RNase-free silica membranes in a unique column configuration, allowing for safe and easy procedures typically completed in less than 20 minutes without the need for harmful phenol/chloroform extraction, CsCl centrifugation or LiCl or alcohol precipitation.
The PureLink RNA Mini Kit is recommended for use with a homogenizer (Cat. No. 12183026) to homogenize cell or tissue lysates by centrifugation prior to nucleic acid purification. Homogenizers are particularly effective at removing particulates from plant tissue.
For plant tissues rich in polyphenols or starch (e.g. pine needles, potato tubers), we recommend using PureLink Plant RNA Reagent (Cat. No. 12322012) and PureLink RNA Mini Kit.
