Invitrogen Platinum SuperFi II Green PCR Master Mix (2X) contains Platinum SuperFi II DNA Polymerase, Platinum SuperFi II Buffer and Ready-to-use mix of dNTPs for easy PCR preparation and contains two tracking dyes for direct loading of PCR products onto the gel.
Platinum SuperFi II DNA Polymerase is a proofreading DNA polymerase that combines ultra-high fidelity with innovation The combination of the specific SuperFi II buffer can greatly improve the success rate of PCR amplification at universal primer annealing temperatures. It is particularly useful for cloning, mutagenesis and other applications requiring a high degree of sequence accuracy.
Platinum SuperFi II Green PCR Master Mix features include:
•Exceptional>300X Taq fidelity
•Universal primer annealing at 60°C
•Excellent specificity, sensitivity and Yield
•Reliable amplification of difficult-to-amplify targets (e.g. targets with suboptimal purity, targets with GC content ˃65%, long-range PCR requirements)
Platinum SuperFi II DNA Polymerase is a Genetically modified enzymes with high processivity and higher tolerance to PCR inhibitors. It also allows for rapid cycling protocols and amplification of long targets (up to 20 kb). Platinum hot-start technology uses proprietary antibodies that inhibit enzyme activity prior to the PCR denaturation step, preventing non-specific amplification and primer degradation. This technology can also prepare reaction systems at room temperature, improving sensitivity and yield.
Due to the unique composition of SuperFi II PCR buffer, most primer pairs designed following general design rules have an annealing temperature of 60°. Isostabilizing molecules in the buffer increase primer-template dual stability during the annealing step and enhance specificity without the need to optimize the annealing temperature for each primer pair. Using Platinum SuperFi II DNA Polymerase, different PCR assays can be co-cycled using the same protocol using universal primer annealing temperatures and extension steps selected for the longest fragment to be amplified.
Applications for Platinum SuperFi II DNA Polymerase:
•High-fidelity PCR
•Cloning and subcloning
•Site-directed mutagenesis
•GC-rich template amplification< br>•Template generation for sequencing
•High-throughput PCR
•Amplify samples of poor purity
•Long-chain PCR
•Fast PCR
