BGJb medium was developed for fetal rat long bone growth in chemically defined media. BGJb is a modified medium developed by Sylvia Fitton-Jackson using the original BGJ medium developed by Biggers, Gwatkin and Judah. BGJb medium creates favorable conditions for fetal bone growth and calcification.
The BGJb medium is produced under the following substances:Contains | Does not contain td> |

Formulation.
Gibco™ BGJb Medium features higher levels of amino acids and glucose and enhanced buffering capacity to improve fetal bone growth and calcification conditions.
Use BGJb MediumBGJb does not contain proteins, lipids or growth factors. Therefore, BGJb requires supplementation, usually 10%
Fetal bovine serum (FBS). BGJb uses a sodium bicarbonate buffer system (3.5 g/L) and therefore requires a 5-10% CO
2 environment to maintain physiological pH.
cGMP ManufacturingGibco™ BGJb Medium is manufactured in a cGMP compliant facility in Grand Island, New York. The factory is an FDA-registered medical device manufacturer and is certified to the ISO 13485 standard.
