Thermo Scientific Pierce protein-coated plates provide an alternative to direct, passive adsorption methods for antibody immobilization for ELISA and other plate-based assay technologies.

Product Advantages
• Maintain antibody activity, which may be lost when immobilizing antibodies by passive adsorption
• Guide antibodies to maximize antigen-binding ability< br>• Immobilize antibodies for plate assays without prior purification
• Ensure the lowest possible variability through consistent coating (well-to-well variability <5%)
• Use SuperBlock blocking buffer The plates are pre-blocked, thus reducing non-specific binding
• Binds 2 to 5 pmol of antibody per well (based on rabbit IgG assay)

Protein A/G coated plates
• Fusion protein containing four antibody binding sites from protein A and two antibody binding sites from protein G
• It has the specificity of both protein A and protein G, so it can be combined with large Binds to most IgG species
• Binds to the Fc region of the antibody, ensuring ideal orientation
• Provides good binding over a wide pH range

Protein A-coated plates< /strong>
• Binds strongly to human, rabbit, guinea pig, pig, dog, rhesus monkey IgG
• Binds strongly to mouse IgG2a, IgG2b and IgG3
• Binds to the Fc region of antibodies, for ideal orientation

Protein G Coated Plates
• Binds strongly to IgG from many species including human, mouse, rabbit, sheep and goat
• Binds only to IgG—no cross-reactivity with other antibody classes
• Binds to the Fc region of antibodies for ideal orientation

Protein L-coated plates
• With Binds to all classes of immunoglobulins (IgG, IgM, IgA, IgE and IgD)
• Binds to the VL region of kappa light chains (human I, III, IV and mouse I) without interfering with the antigen binding site< br>• Binds to Fab fragments and ScFv
• Does not bind bovine, goat, or sheep immunoglobulins
• Binds weakly to rabbit immunoglobulins
• Preblocked to reduce non-specific binding
