Thermo Scientific Pierce Nickel-Coated White 96-Well Plates provide a simple format for conjugating His-tagged fusion proteins for use in ELISA and other plate-based assays involving protein interactions expressing recombinant proteins. These white plates can be used with chemiluminescence detection methods.
Features of Pierce nickel-coated plates:
•Ni2+ The activated surface enables metal-chelate binding of His-tagged proteins< br>• Detergents used to lyse cells do not inhibit binding to the activation plate, which they do when using unbleached polystyrene
• Compared to other commercially available nickel activation plates, have better performance for sensitive assays Better binding capacity
• Detection limit: 1 ng polyhistidine fusion protein
• Binding capacity: approximately 9 pmol His-tagged protein (27 kDa)/well
• Activation level: 200 µL< br>
These Ni(2+) chelate-coated plates are suitable for the analysis of polyhistidine-tagged fusion proteins by ELISA-based methods. Proteins containing a series of multiple histidine residues at the amino or carboxyl termini have strong binding affinities for metals. Bacterial lysates containing polyhistidine-tagged fusion proteins can be added directly to the plate without blocking.
