Durable Nalgene polypropylene (PP) and polypropylene copolymer (PPCO) containers are built to last under typical laboratory conditions. However, like all durable products, they are eventually discontinued and replaced. These containers and their packaging materials are recycled in many communities. Please recycle the cartons and LDPE bags in which Nalgene products are packaged. When the product reaches the end of its service life, if the community provides recycling services, please wash the Nalgene PP and PPCO containers and let the community recycle them.

† The term "leak-proof" applies to Thermo Scientific Nalgene products that meet the following criteria: a) For bottles/flasks/ with cap dimensions less than 100 mm For funnel sealing systems, when filled with water, the water inside will not escape when inverted for 2 minutes under a gas pressure of 2 psig; b) For bottle/funnel/flask sealing systems with cap sizes greater than 100 mm, when filled with water Afterwards, turn it upside down for 15 minutes so that the water inside will not overflow. Note: If other liquids are used for the above test, different results may be obtained. To ensure safe use, customers are advised to test Thermo Scientific Nalgene bottles and closures under planned application conditions. Thermo Scientific Nalgene products are leak-proof when used with Nalgene sealing caps at room temperature and pressure.
