Prepare large volumes of media and cultures using Thermo Scientific™ Nalgene™ round polycarbonate Clearboy™ bottles with spigots. These durable Clearboy bottles are lighter and safer than glass bottles and are ideal for visual inspection of content quality. It is suitable for refrigerated or frozen storage of aqueous solutions, or for dispensing sterile water, aqueous reagents and culture media. Nalgene polycarbonate carboys can be autoclaved before refilling to prevent bacterial growth when storing sterile solutions. Made using only high quality laboratory grade plastic materials ensuring extremely low levels of leachables and extractables.

Notes:
Before autoclaving, completely unscrew the threaded cap and remove the spigot
Follow the instructions in the intubation instructions inside the product Autoclave to ensure proper function
Note: Pipe fittings are not autoclavable
Repeated autoclaving will shorten the life of the polycarbonate carboy
Use pH neutral before autoclaving detergent and rinse thoroughly
Please recycle the corrugated cartons and LDPE bags in which Nalgene large bottles are packaged.
† The term "leak-proof" applies to Thermo Scientific Nalgene products that meet the following criteria: a) For bottles/flasks/ with cap dimensions less than 100 mm For funnel sealing systems, when filled with water, the water inside will not escape when inverted for 2 minutes under a gas pressure of 2 psig; b) For bottle/funnel/flask sealing systems with cap sizes greater than 100 mm, when filled with water Afterwards, turn it upside down for 15 minutes so that the water inside will not overflow. Note: If other liquids are used for the above test, different results may be obtained. To ensure safe use, customers are advised to test Thermo Scientific Nalgene bottles and closures under planned application conditions. Thermo Scientific Nalgene products are leak-proof when used with Nalgene sealing caps at room temperature and pressure.
