Inorganic cations and amines were analyzed using a Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ IonPac™ CS20 ion chromatography (IC) column. Dionex IonPac CS20 columns are designed to complement Dionex IonPac CS18 and Dionex IonPac CS19 columns and provide a large separation window for monovalent and divalent cations. This product elutes most amines after alkali metals and before alkaline earth metals, thereby removing amines from matrix ions that make quantitative analysis extremely difficult. Its selectivity makes the Dionex IonPac CS20 particularly suitable for the determination of a wide range of alkylamines and alkanolamines.

Excellent performance in the separation of common inorganic cations and amines.
  • Use the high-capacity Dionex IonPac CS20 to determine inorganic cations and amines, including methylamine, ethylamine, ethanolamine, and alkanolamines in different sample matrices.
  • Unique stationary phase functionalized with sulfonic, phosphonic and carboxylic acid groups tolerates acidic samples containing up to 100 mM hydronium ions (pH 1) with minimal performance loss
  • Operates over a wide temperature range (15-70°C) to facilitate method development and improve separation of key ions
  • Compatible with 100% organic solvents (acetonitrile and acetone), To enhance analyte solubility, optimize column selectivity, and facilitate efficient column cleaning
For use with high-pressure ion chromatography systems

Use the chromatograph under standard conditions column, a high-pressure IC system is required, such as the Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ ICS-5000+ HPIC™, Dionex Integrion™ HPIC System, or Dionex ICS-4000 Capillary HPIC System.

Lower eluent requirements, lower operating costs

Dionex IonPac CS20 capillary columns have the same performance characteristics as standard bore and microbore Dionex IonPac CS20 columns because they use the same packing material. Same performance. Because capillary systems operate at only 1% of the eluent flow rate of standard orifice systems, less eluent is required and less waste is produced, thus reducing operating costs.

Available in various sizes
  • 4 x 250 mm and 2 x 250 mm columns
  • 4 x 50 mm and 2 x 50 mm Protect
  • 0.4 x 250 mm capillary column
  • 0.4 x 50 mm capillary guard column
  • Smaller inner diameter column provides greater sensitivity and saves elution fluids and reagents, reducing running costs
