Dionex IonPac MFC-1 and Dionex IonPac MFC 500 metal-free trap columns contain resins functionalized with covalently bonded iminodiacetic acid functional groups. These metal-free trap columns remove transition metal and rare earth impurities before they over-concentrate and interfere with trace analysis of the eluent. Metals captured by the Dionex IonPac MFC-1 and Dionex IonPac MFC 500 can be easily removed from the capture column using an acidic regeneration solution.
