RNase-free water (not DEPC treated) is deionized, filtered into final bottle, and autoclaved processing of these three steps. It is now ready to use without the need for formulation, mixing or autoclaving. This nuclease-free water is rigorously tested for contaminating non-specific endonuclease, exonuclease and RNase activities.

Because this water has not been treated with DEPC, it is recommended to use it for applications where residual DEPC may prove harmful (e.g. oocyte microscopy injection).
