- If you wish to immerse a cryotube in liquid nitrogen, first seal it in a Nunc™ Cryoflex™ sleeve to prevent liquid nitrogen from seeping into the tube. Prior to immersion, Cryoflex™ tube sleeves can be applied to the gland to form a non-penetrating protective layer around the tube through heat shrinkage.
- Nalgene™ CryoSleeves™ slide over any Nunc or Nalgene cryobar, preventing tubes from falling out of the bar and into the bottom of the liquid nitrogen Dewar. Nalgene™ CryoSleeves™ do not protect against liquid nitrogen penetration. If liquid immersion is required, cryovials placed in aluminum strips must be sealed in Cryoflex™ sleeves before applying CryoSleeve™.
- The Nunc CryoTube™ Small Storage Box (with friction-fit lid) is ideal for storing and transporting small samples. Made of durable, high-impact polystyrene to protect samples.
