Use of Opti-MEM™ I Medium
Opti-MEM™ I serum-reduced medium is a medium containing insulin, transferrin, hypoxanthine, A unique culture medium containing glycosides and trace elements. These additional components can reduce the amount of serum added by at least 50%. Opti-MEM™ I medium uses a sodium bicarbonate buffer system (2.4 g/L) and therefore requires a 5–10% CO₂ environment to maintain physiological pH.

To ensure supply chain continuity, we also offer the same Opti-MEM™ I product (51985-042) manufactured in our Scottish factory.
