The Dionex ASE System performs automated solvent extraction of solid and semi-solid sample matrices, reducing sample processing time from hours to minutes. The cell tray of the Dionex ASE system holds up to 24 cells containing processed samples.

The Dionex system increases the efficiency of the extraction process by simultaneously increasing temperature and pressure, thereby improving efficiency. As a result, the system shortens extraction times and significantly reduces solvent usage compared to traditional extraction techniques such as Soxhlet or sonication. While other extraction techniques can take up to 48 hours to process each sample, the Dionex ASE system typically completes extractions in 12–20 minutes. Compared with traditional extraction techniques, solvent consumption is reduced by 50–90%.
