About Dynabead™ MyOne™ Streptavidin C1< /b>
These uniform superparamagnetic beads are 1 µm in diameter and have a single layer of recombinant streptavidin covalently coupled to the surface rather than multiple layers. This design leaves the vast majority of biotin-binding sites available for binding not only free biotin but also biotinylated ligands/targets. They are hydrophilic, negatively charged, and exhibit fast liquid-phase reaction kinetics. Its specific, defined surface enables efficient capture, separation and downstream processing. The single layer of streptavidin ensures negligible leakage levels without excess adsorbed streptavidin, ensuring consistent and reproducible results. 1 µm Dynabead™ MyOne™ features large surface area, high capacity, highly efficient magnetism, and low deposition rate during incubation. It can be customized for automation solutions that require high throughput. Products have high standards for reproducibility (intra- and inter-batch) and automated operation, giving you confidence in your results.

Applications
Streptavidin-conjugated immunomagnetic beads™ have been used and referenced in a variety of applications over the past 15 years. For example, direct/indirect separation and downstream processing of nucleic acids, proteins/peptides, and other target molecules. Ideal for sequence-specific DNA/RNA capture in nucleic acid-based diagnostics, especially samples with high chaotropic salt concentrations, immunodetection involving biotinylated small antigens, and BSA-incompatible applications (magnetic beads are not blocked with BSA). Binding Capacity
Both molecule size and biotinylation procedure affect binding capacity. Binding capacity also depends on available space and charge interactions between beads and molecules and between molecules. After binding, each avidin molecule on the bead surface has two or three biotin binding sites. Per mg of Dynabead™ MyOne™ Streptavidin C1 typically binds:

•>2,500 pmol free biotin
• ∼20 µg biotinylated IgG
• ∼400 pmol biotin peptide
• ∼20 µg ds-DNA
• ∼500 pmol ss-oligonucleotide
