By using smaller resin particles and shorter column dimensions, this column provides the highest peak efficiency and Optimum separation of common inorganic anions allows rapid analysis of environmental waters.
Analysis of common inorganic anions and low molecular weight organic acids in various matricesBy using smaller resin particles, higher resolutions can be achieved and column backpressures in excess of 3000 psi can be generated. When operating a Dionex IonPac AS18-Fast-4µm capillary column at the standard flow rate of 10µL/min, an IC system capable of operating at pressures up to 3000 psi is sufficient. However, to take advantage of fast chromatography runs, when using high flow rates, a high-pressure capillary IC system is required, such as a Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ ICS-5000+ HPIC or a Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ ICS -4000 HPIC. The Dionex ICS-5000+ HPIC system is essential for proper operation of Dionex IonPac AS18-Fast-4µm microbore and standard bore columns.
Use the right product format for your labShorter 150mm AS18-Fast-4µm columns help run faster, while smaller particle sizes maintain higher Separation with high resolution; guard columns are available in 3 specifications:
Capillary columns can significantly reduce operating costs and waste disposal costs by saving eluent. Dionex IonPac AS18-Fast-4µm capillary columns use the same packing materials as their standard and microbore counterparts, providing the same performance. Operating costs are reduced because the eluent flow rate when operating a capillary system is only 1% of a standard orifice system. Capillary columns can be used with Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ ICS-4000 and ICS-5000+ capillary systems.
