Thermo Scientific Pierce Magnetic c-Myc Tag IP/Co-IP Kit contains c-Myc-tagged bait protein for c -Specific immunoaffinity magnetic beads and reagents for Myc fusion protein immunoprecipitation experiments or co-IP experiments.
Unlike traditional IP procedures based on capture using protein A/G beads, this kit uses magnetic beads containing pre-immobilized anti-c-Myc antibodies. These Pierce anti-c-Myc magnetic beads ensure specific binding to c-Myc-tagged protein complexes in biological samples. Because the antibodies are covalently attached to the beads, IP targets can be easily eluted and recovered without antibody contamination. Complete IP kit includes magnetic beads, lysis/wash buffer, low pH elution buffer, neutralization buffer, c-Myc tag positive control lysate, and non-reducing sample buffer for SDS-PAGE. Offers solutions for manual and automated magnetic separation workflows. Provides sufficient components for 40 IP or co-IP experiments.
c-Myc Tag Magnetic IP/Co-IP Kit Features:
•
Specific Magnetic Beads—covalently immobilized high-quality anti-c-Myc Monoclonal antibodies enable high yields of immunoprecipitated products
•
Low non-specific binding — Stable, pre-blocked beads and specific antibodies minimize off-target binding
• < b>Reliable elution—Low pH elution buffer ensures recovery of c-Myc-tagged protein interaction complexes without antibody leaching contamination
•
Convenient and fast— Complete kit and easy-to-follow instructions provide optimized protocols to perform IP or Co-IP experiments in ~1 hour
•
Universal—Magnetic beads with manual and automated magnetic separation workflows ( Compatible with Thermo Scientific KingFisher instruments
The c-Myc peptide (EQKLISEEDL) derived from the C-terminal region of the human c-Myc protein is one of several fusion protein tags used for recombinant protein expression. Pierce c-Myc Magnetic IP/Co-IP Kit uses specific, high-affinity immobilized antibodies (clone 9E10) for bacterial and mammalian cell lysates and using Pierce Human
In VitroTranslation Reagents Rapid immunoprecipitation of c-Myc-tagged fusion proteins from box-prepared lysates. The beads are incubated with cell lysate containing c-Myc-tagged protein to capture the fusion protein, and the beads are subsequently washed and eluted using either a low pH elution buffer or a non-reducing sample buffer. Protocols and buffers are optimized to maximize the efficiency of IP and co-IP reactions and to enrich specific protein-interacting complexes in eluted samples. Anti-c-Myc antibodies can be used to detect c-Myc-tagged proteins by Western blot analysis.
