RiboMinus™ Eukaryotic Cell System v2 selectively removes up to 99.9% of cytoplasm (5S, 5.8) from total RNA S, 18S and 28S) and mitochondrial (12S and 16S) ribosomal RNA thereby providing truly complete transcriptome isolation for next generation sequencing analysis. This selection system differs from poly-A and cap-binding methods, which introduce bias and select only part of the transcriptome.
Features of the RiboMinus™ Eukaryotic Cell System v2 include:
•Magnetic bead purification for fast, seamless purification
•1 hour workflow
•Input volume Range 1–5 μg
RiboMinus™ Eukaryotic Cell System v2 improves upon previous systems (RiboMinus™ Eukaryotic Cell System for RNA-Seq) by removing significantly more rRNA (cytoplasmic and mitochondrial) from total RNA kit). When used for sequencing with our library construction kits, the RiboMinus™ Eukaryotic Cell System v2 provides a greater degree of reference database mapping with less bias, maintaining relative gene expression levels of smaller RNA species. The resulting total RNA after removal contains less contaminating rRNA, reducing variability.
RiboMinus Eukaryotic Cell System v2 is designed for depletion of human, mouse and rat rRNA. Contains a magnetic bead purification module for purifying the entire transcriptome without altering the expression levels of small or non-coding RNAs. For column purification, please see
RiboMinus™ Eukaryotic Cell Kit v2. RiboMinus Eukaryotic Cell System v2 has an RNA input range of 1–5 μg. For lower starting amounts (as low as 100 ng), it is recommended to use
Low Input RiboMinus™ Eukaryotic Cell System v2.
RiboMinus™ Eukaryotic Cell System v2 contains sufficient reagents for 12 ribosomal RNA depletions.
