Alexa Fluor™ 647 Phalloidin is a high-affinity F-actin probe that binds to bright, light Stable far-red fluorescent Alexa Fluor™ 647 dye binding.
•
Selective staining of F-actin•
Excellent fluorescence properties•
Excitation/emission wavelength: 650/668 nm•
Better than antibody staining•
Suitable for fixed and permeabilized samples Provides excellent actin staining resultsPhalloidin is a bicyclic peptide isolated from the lethal
Amanita "death cap" mushroom A class of toxins commonly used to selectively label F-actin in imaging applications. The binding properties of fluorescently labeled phalloidin to actin from different species, including plants and animals, are almost identical. Phalloidin binds F-actin with high selectivity, while Alexa Fluor™ 647 provides ultra-bright and photostable far-infrared fluorescence. Alexa Fluor™ 647 Phalloidin rarely causes non-specific staining and allows high contrast differentiation of actin staining.
Available for a variety of applicationsAlexa Fluor™ 647 Phalloidin can be used to target F-actin in tissue sections, cell cultures, or cell-free preparations Perform visualization and quantification. Alexa Fluor™ 647 Phalloidin Stain is fully compatible with other fluorescent stains used in cell analysis procedures, including fluorescent proteins, Qdot™ Nanocrystals, and other Alexa Fluor™ conjugates (including secondary antibodies).
