Gibco DMEM (Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium) is a widely used basal medium used to support many species of mammals Cell growth. Cells that have been successfully cultured in DMEM medium include primary cells such as primary fibroblasts, neurons, glial cells, HUVEC, and smooth muscle cells, as well as cell lines such as HeLa, 293, Cos-7, and PC-12. For a wide range of cell culture applications, DMEM modified media with various components are provided. Use

BenchStable DMEM is designed to be stored at room temperature and support cell proliferation and maximum cell density as well as conventional DMEM supplemented with ≥10% fetal bovine serum (FBS).
This DMEM is modified in the following ways:
•Optimized for room temperature stability
•Contains high sugar, GlutaMAX, Phenol Red
•No sodium pyruvate
< br>
Using BenchStable DMEMDMEM differs from other media in that it contains four times the concentration of amino acids and vitamins equivalent to the original Eagle's Minimal Essential Medium. DMEM was initially formulated with low sugar (1 g/L) and sodium pyruvate, but is often used in high sugar settings with/without sodium pyruvate. DMEM uses a sodium bicarbonate buffer system (3.7 g/L) and therefore requires an environment of 5–10% CO2 to maintain physiological pH. Contains
GlutaMAX additive< /a>'s DMEM is available in an easy-to-use packaged format that significantly reduces the accumulation of toxic ammonia and improves cell viability and growth. BenchStable DMEM does not contain proteins, lipids or growth factors and therefore requires supplementation of ≥10% Fetal bovine serum (FBS).
cGMP Manufacturing and Quality SystemsGibco BenchStable media are manufactured in a cGMP compliant facility in Grand Island, New York. The facility is an FDA-registered medical device manufacturer and is certified to the ISO 13485 standard.
