MagMAX™-96 Microarray Total RNA Isolation Kit for RNA isolation of mammalian cells and tissues in 96-well plates Perform rapid, high-throughput purification. This kit combines organic extraction with magnetic bead purification to obtain very high quality RNA, suitable for extremely stringent applications such as microarray analysis. This kit contains enough reagents for 96 reactions. Advantages of the MagMAX™-96 Microarray Total RNA Isolation Kit:

•Improved gene expression studies for consistent results across experiments
•Combined TRI Reagent™ with optimized magnetic bead technology< br>•Simplify RNA purification without compromising RNA quality or quantity
•Require less hands-on time compared to competitor kits
•Integrate with established automation platforms
• Excellent MagMAX™ Kits for Difficult or Large Volume Samples

Advantages of MagMAX™ Magnetic Bead Purification
Magnetic Beads Compared to other technologies for isolating RNA The law has many advantages. Magnetic beads bind RNA more efficiently than glass fiber filter columns, resulting in higher and more consistent RNA yields. Additionally, since no filter columns are used, there is no risk of cell particles in the sample clogging the filter columns. Because only a small number of magnetic beads are needed for efficient binding, only 20–50 µL of nuclease-free water is needed to elute bound RNA, thus concentrating RNA from large dilute samples.

High stringency ensures high quality RNA
The MagMAX™-96 Microarray Total RNA Isolation Kit (patent pending) procedure integrates the robust and reliable lysis/denaturation TRI Reagent™ and MagMAX™ magnetic bead RNA purification technology, which simplifies RNA purification, even in high-throughput mode, without sacrificing RNA quantity or quality. TRI Reagent™ easily lyses even difficult-to-lyse cells and tissues while denaturing nucleases to maintain RNA integrity. The kit provides high yields of highly pure, intact RNA that can be used directly in quantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and microarray analysis. See accompanying data showing RNA yield and quality obtained using the MagMAX™-96 Microarray Total RNA Isolation Kit. Data are also shown illustrating the high correlation between the method recommended by Affymetrix for producing RNA for GeneChips™ and the method used with the MagMAX™-96 Microarray Kit.

Fast and flexible procedure
Two alternatives are available for this kit. The "centrifuge" method has fewer steps, requires no DNase treatment, and can handle larger sample volumes. The “spin-free” method requires fewer sample handling operations and can be easily integrated with automated pipetting workstations. The procedure is fast (less than 1 hour), simple, and ideal for automation. The kit can also be used for processes processing fewer than 96 samples at a time and is compatible with manual processing using multichannel pipettes or processing using automated pipetting workstations. Protocols for using this kit with specific liquid handling systems can be downloaded through our automation resources.

Auxiliary Products
A 96-well magnetic ring holder is required to use this kit. Magnetic stand-96 (Cat. No. AM10027) and 96-well magnetic ring stand (Cat. No. AM10050) are suitable for paramagnetic bead precipitation in standard 96-well U-shaped bottom microplates. The magnetic ring holder forms the magnetic beads into round pellets, and the supernatant can be easily removed by robot or multi-channel pipette. If additional processing plates are required, Matrix 96-well U-bottom polypropylene plates (Thermo Scientific, Product No. 4917) are recommended.
