The Easy-DNA™ kit is a fast, easy method for isolation from a variety of cell and tissue types Produce high-quality, high-molecular-weight genomic DNA (gDNA). Sample sizes can vary from a single hair follicle to 1 gram of mammalian tissue. Other samples tested include mouse tails, plant leaves, yeast and E. coli cells. These samples produce high-quality DNA with average sizes between 100 kb and 200 kb, suitable for PCR, DNA hybridization, genomic DNA library construction, and other applications. Advantages of Easy-DNA™ kits include:

Reliability — from cells, tissues, plants, yeast, E. coli, blood and even hair follicles Obtain high-quality genomic DNA from large or small samples
Simplicity — For most sample types, isolate high-quality DNA in just 4 steps, typically taking less than 90 minutes
Versatility—one kit supported by optimized protocols for multiple cell and tissue types

Simple workflow, quality results
More Optimization protocols for each cell and tissue type are included in the instruction manual provided with the kit. Typically, small-scale gDNA preparation is performed in microcentrifuge tubes where the sample is mixed with lysis buffer and incubated at 65°C for 10 minutes. The DNA pellet is prepared after chloroform (not included in the kit) extraction, precipitation, and reconstitution. The kit contains a protein degradation reagent (for use with high protein-containing samples such as connective tissue), mussel glycogen as a co-precipitating agent for dilute DNA samples, and RNase solution.
