Thermo Scientific RevertAid Master Mix (containing DNase I) is a complete system for efficient synthesis of first-strand cDNA based on mRNA or total RNA templates . This kit contains recombinant endonuclease (DNase I) to remove contaminating genomic DNA from RNA preparations.

For reverse transcription applications, this kit uses RevertAid reverse transcriptase (RT), which has lower RNase H activity than AMV reverse transcriptase. This master mix is a convenient two-tube master mix that contains all the components required for cDNA synthesis reactions. It is optimized for efficient cDNA synthesis and is suitable for two-step quantitative RT-PCR (RT-qPCR) applications. The two-tube formulation shortens reaction times and requires fewer pipetting steps than the RevertAid RT kit, while maintaining high performance.
