ProLong Diamond Antifade Mounting Medium is a glycerin-based liquid mounting medium that can be applied directly to microscope slides Fluorescently labeled cells or tissue samples on the chip. Its formula does not contain DNA stains or contains the blue DNA stain DAPI or the deep red DNA stain SYTOX Deep Red. ProLong Diamond mounting media protects the entire visible and infrared spectrum from quenching of fluorescent signals. ProLong Diamond mounting medium can be used with almost all fluorescent dyes or fluorescent proteins (such as GFP, RFP, mCherry) to make the fluorescence signal brighter and the background lower, thereby obtaining bright, high-definition fluorescence images.
ProLong Diamond Antifade Mounting Media features:
•Protects fluorescent dyes and fluorescent proteins against quenching across the entire visible and IR spectrum
•Ready-to-use liquid, solidified Can be stored for long periods
•Suitable for Alexa Fluor and traditional dyes (such as FITC and Cy3) and fluorescent proteins (such as GFP, RFP and mCherry)
•Mounted samples remain stable for months
• Maintain fluorescence signal—almost no quenching

ProLong Diamond Antifade Mounting Medium is available in dropper bottles or 10 mL bottles as a ready-to-use mix with or without DNA stain. When DAPI stain binds to DNA, it is excited by ultraviolet light. The excitation wavelength is 360 nm and the maximum emission wavelength is 460 nm. Use DAPI traditional filter for detection. SYTOX Deep Red stain is excited by red light when combined with DNA. The excitation wavelength is 660 nm and the maximum emission wavelength is 682 nm. It is detected using the Cy5/Deep Red traditional filter. Simply place a drop on your sample, add a coverslip, cure and image. ProLong Diamond Mounting Medium is a curing mounting medium with a near-perfect light path (1.47 RI) that preserves your samples long-term and prevents photobleaching. ProLong Diamond Mounting Medium does not discolor or shrink samples when cured and stored long-term, allowing high-quality fluorescent images to be captured weeks or even months after mounting.
Provides photobleaching protection across the entire visible and infrared spectrumNo matter which fluorescent dye or fluorescent protein you are using, ProLong Diamond mounting media provides excellent Photobleaching protection. It has proven performance in a range of fluorescent dyes, including Alexa Fluor dyes, FITC, TRTC, Texas Red, Cy3 and Cy5. ProLong Diamond mounting media does not quench fluorescent groups, allowing fluorescent dyes to emit brighter signals without background signal, helping you obtain high-quality, high-resolution images ready for publication.
Signal stability during imaging and long-term storageProLong Diamond mounting medium is ideal for archiving samples containing fluorescent dyes or fluorescent proteins. It is also ideal for maintaining signal strength during prolonged imaging, such as when scanning repeatedly under confocal laser scanning illumination, or when imaging with super-resolution microscopy. Easy to use—simply remove excess water from stained samples and cure. For immediate observation of your samples, choose our non-curing mounting medium, SlowFade Diamond.
Having an optimal refractive index to match Crisp imagesRefractive index (RI) matching is critical to modern high-resolution imaging. The cured RI of ProLong Diamond mounting medium is 1.47. Additionally, this curing property means you don't need to use dirty acrylics (such as nail polish), which can damage or destroy modern microscope objectives if they come in contact with them.
