Sulforhodamine 101 is a water-soluble, non-fixable, red fluorescent (maximum excitation /Emission wavelength ∼ 586/605 nm) polar tracer that can be used to study neuronal morphology, prepare fluorescent liposomes, study intercellular communication and subsequent phagosome-lysosomal uptake and fusion.
