SlowFade Gold antifade mounting medium is a fluorescent mounting medium used directly on microscope slides. Liquid mounting media for labeled cell or tissue samples. It contains chemical components that prevent fluorescent dye quenching (photobleaching) during fluorescence microscopy experiments. SlowFade Gold Antifade Mounting Medium is based on glycerol and requires no mixing or curing, making it ideal for immediate observation of samples. Ready-to-use—just drop in sample, cover slide, and image. It is available with or without DAPI nuclear stain.

SlowFade Gold Antifade Mounting Media is not recommended for mounting samples containing fluorescent proteins (such as GFP). For excellent antifade protection of fluorescent proteins and fluorescent dyes in cultured cells or thin tissue sections, SlowFade Diamond Antifade Mounting Medium is recommended. To achieve high resolution at a focal depth of 0–500 μm or to image thicker tissues or 3D cell cultures, try SlowFade Glass anti-fade mounting media.
