Concanavalin A (Con A) Solution (500X) is a ready-to-use aqueous buffer of Con A liquid. Con A is a protein isolated from the sword bean (Canavlia ensiformis). It is a lectin that binds to the α-D-glucose and α-D-mannose moieties found in a variety of glycoproteins, glycolipids and sugars and is a potent leukocyte mitogen. This reagent is intended for in vitro activation of human and mouse leukocytes.
