DMEM (Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium) is a widely used basal medium that can be used to support many types of mammalian cells grow. Cells that have been successfully cultured in DMEM include primary fibroblasts, neurons, glial cells, HUVECs, smooth muscle cells, and cell lines such as HeLa, 293, Cos-7, and PC-12. For a wide range of cell culture applications, DMEM modified media with various components are provided. Use

formulation is available.
Using DMEMDMEM differs from other media in that it contains 4 times the concentration of amino acids and vitamins equivalent to the original Eagle Minimum Essential Medium. DMEM is initially formulated with low concentrations of glucose (1 g/L) and sodium pyruvate, but is often used in high glucose environments with/without sodium pyruvate. Contains
GlutaMAX™ Supplemented DMEM media comes in easy-to-use packages that significantly reduce the accumulation of toxic ammonia and improve cell viability and growth. DMEM contains no proteins, lipids or growth factors. Therefore, DMEM needs to be supplemented with nutrients, usually 10%
Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). DMEM uses a sodium bicarbonate buffer system (3.7 g/L) and therefore requires an environment of 5–10% CO
2 to maintain physiological pH.
cGMP Manufacturing and Quality SystemsDMEM is manufactured in a cGMP compliant facility in Grand Island, New York. The factory is an FDA-registered medical device manufacturer and is certified to the ISO 13485 standard. To ensure supply chain continuity, we also offer an equivalent DMEM product (61965-059) manufactured in our Scottish factory. The factory is also an FDA-registered medical device manufacturer and is certified to the ISO 13485 standard.
