Dynabeads™ CD2 are uniformly sized superparamagnetic microbeads (diameter 4.5 µm) , human CD2+ cells can be easily isolated directly from any sample. Dynabeads™ CD2 beads are coated with a primary monoclonal antibody specific for the CD2 membrane antigen expressed primarily on human T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. Add Dynabeads™ CD2 to the culture tube, which will bind to CD2+ cells during a short incubation, then Magnet Stand Separates bead-bound cells from unbound cells. This fast, gentle separation method eliminates the use of columns and helps ensure high purity, recovery, and viability of isolated CD2+ cells.

Ideal for removal and positive separation for downstream molecular analysis
Dynabeads™ CD2 uses a powerful magnetic stand for separation, so it can be used with viscous samples such as blood and bone marrow , thus providing a simple method that can efficiently remove CD2+ cells, which only takes about 30 minutes. When used in positive isolation for downstream molecular studies, Dynabeads™ CD2 can also efficiently recover highly pure and highly viable cells; for example, cells are lysed but remain attached to the beads for further purification of nucleic acids or proteins. Please note that intact cells will not be released from these beads, so if you want to isolate T cells for cell-based applications, or you need to examine samples with flow cytometry, use Dynabeads™ FlowComp™ Human CD3 (obtain cells without beads) or Dynabeads™ Untouched™ Human T Cells for contaminant-free human T cells.
