Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM) is a widely used basal medium used to support many types of mammalian cells grow. Cells that have been successfully cultured in DMEM include primary fibroblasts, neurons, glial cells, HUVECs, smooth muscle cells, and cell lines such as HeLa, 293, Cos-7, and PC-12. We offer a variety of Gibco™ DMEM modified media suitable for a wide range of cell culture applications. Use

•High sugar | •Sodium pyruvate |

formulation is available< /a>.
DMEM differs from other media in that it contains 4 times the concentration of amino acids and vitamins equivalent to the original Eagle Minimum Essential Medium. DMEM is initially formulated with low concentrations of glucose (1 g/L) and sodium pyruvate, but is often used in high glucose environments with/without sodium pyruvate.

cGMP Manufacturing and Quality Systems
Gibco™ DMEM is manufactured in a cGMP compliant facility in Grand Island, New York. The facility is an FDA-registered medical device manufacturer and is certified to the ISO 13485 standard.
DMEM does not contain proteins, lipids or growth factors. Therefore, DMEM needs to be supplemented with nutrients, usually 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). DMEM uses a sodium bicarbonate buffer system (3.7 g/L) and therefore requires a 5-10% CO
2 environment to maintain physiological pH.
