Enrich epithelial tumor cells directly from whole blood, bone marrow, or PBMC suspensions. Lysed enriched tumor cells were used for mRNA isolation and RT-PCR amplification. The sensitivity of the combination of enrichment and RT-PCR detection can be as high as 1 tumor cell/1 ml of blood.
