UltraPure™ DNA Typing Grade™ 50X TAE Buffer is a buffer containing 2 M Tris-acetate and 50 mM EDTA. Bacteria filter the solution. TAE buffer is a commonly used buffer for agarose DNA electrophoresis. To prepare a 1X solution, mix one volume of UltraPure™ 50X TAE Buffer with 49 volumes of distilled water. 1X TAE buffer contains 40 mM Tris-acetate and 1 mM EDTA, pH 8.3 at 23°C.
