Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) is a balanced salt formulation suitable for a variety of cellular applications, such as in immunotherapy Cell/tissue washing during histochemistry (IHC), immunocytochemistry (ICC), transporting cells or tissues, diluting cells for counting and preparing reagents. PBS formula does not contain calcium and magnesium ions. Each PBS tablet should be dissolved in 100 mL of distilled water. The buffer contains 10 mM phosphate, 150 mM sodium chloride, pH 7.3 to 7.5.

Note: These tablets are non-sterile and should not be used with cell cultures or live cells without filtering through a 0.2 µM filter.
