Thermo Scientific Pierce Anti-c-Myc Magnetic Beads are designed for use with manual or automated magnetic separators to isolate bacterial or mammalian cells or Affinity particles for immunoprecipitation of recombinant c-Myc tagged proteins expressed in in vitro systems.

Features of Anti-c-Myc Magnetic Beads:

Specificity—Highly specific anti-c-Myc monoclonal antibody (clone 9E10) enables high yields and high-purity immunoprecipitation
Convenient and fast—Product instructions provide an easy-to-follow optimized protocol that completes the immunoprecipitation in about an hour
Low non-specificity Binding—Stable, pre-blocked magnetic beads and specific antibodies minimize off-target binding for c-Myc tag IP or co-IP experiments
Multifunctional—Magnetic beads Compatible with manual and automated workflows (e.g., Thermo Scientific KingFisher instruments)

The blocked magnetic beads are surface-coated with anti-c-Myc, a highly specific mouse IgG1 monoclonal antibody (clone 9E10) , which recognizes the c-Myc epitope tag (EQKLISEEDL) derived from the human c-Myc oncogene (p62 c-myc). Pierce anti-c-Myc Magnetic Beads can be used with magnetic stands for manual processing or on automated platforms, such as Thermo Scientific KingFisher instruments, for high-throughput workflows.

Product details:
Pierce anti-c-Myc magnetic beads are very convenient and can be used to recombinant c-Myc tagged proteins Immunoprecipitation (IP) and co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP) of its interacting proteins. Magnetic beads were incubated with cell lysate containing c-Myc-tagged protein and captured the fusion protein. Subsequently, the beads are washed and the target protein is eluted using 0.1M Glycine (pH 2.0) 50 mM NaOH or SDS-PAGE sample buffer, with the protocol optimized for each condition described above. Anti-c-Myc antibodies can be used to detect c-Myc tagged proteins by Western blot analysis.
