CTS™ (Cell Therapy System) Synth-a-Freeze™ Medium is a chemically defined, protein-free Liquid cryopreservation medium intended for freezing and storage of various mammalian cell types, including stem cells. Synth-a-Freeze™ CTS™ Medium is optimized to contain no antibiotics, antifungals, hormones, growth factors, serum or proteins and uses HEPES and sodium bicarbonate as a buffer system.
Suitable for cryopreservation of a variety of primary cells and stem cells
• Compatible with various freezing protocols, and the thawed culture medium can be stored stably at 4°C, thus saving time and energy
• Prepare for clinical research with this cGmP-compliant, chemically defined, protein-free formula
Cryopreserve multiple cell types
Cells Therapeutic System Synth-a-Freeze™ CTS™ Medium has performance comparable to standard serum-containing cryopreservation media and is suitable for the cryopreservation of a variety of cell types, including human embryonic stem cells, neural stem cells (Reference 1), mesenchymal stem cells, Mesenchymal stem cells as well as keratinocytes (Ref. 2). Synth-a-Freeze™ medium is not recommended for cryopreservation of human epidermal melanocytes.
Easily integrates into your current freezing protocol
Synth-a-Freeze™ CTS™ Medium can be used in any standard freezing protocol. Simply add thawed Cell Therapy System Synth-a-Freeze™ CTS™ Medium to the isolated and pelleted cells, aliquot and freeze. In order to obtain ideal results, it is recommended to use a programmable cooling device.
