Recombinant human laminin 521 (rhLaminin-521) is a recombinant human protein used to generate human pluripotent stem cells ( Feeder-free culture of PSCs provides a well-defined surface. It has been confirmed that when used together with Essential 8™ Medium, even in the absence of small molecule inhibitors, rhLaminin- 521 may also promote cell survival under stress conditions. Studies have shown that rhLaminin-521 is able to support PSC growth for >20 passages without any evidence of karyotypic abnormalities and maintain the ability of PSCs to differentiate into all three germline lines.
