Alexa Fluor Plus 647 Phalloidin is a high-affinity F-actin (F-actin) probe (phalloidin), conjugated to our bright, photostable Cy5/deep red fluorescent Alexa Fluor Plus 647 dye. To achieve ideal sensitivity and specificity, try to ensure as many Alexa Fluor Plus 647 phalloidin units as possible bound to F-actin per unit length when synthesizing Alexa Fluor Plus 647 phalloidin.

• Selective staining of F-actin with 2–3 times the sensitivity of Alexa Fluor 647 Phalloidin
• Excellent fluorescence performance for actin-containing cells Clear imaging of the skeleton
• Excitation/emission wavelength: 650/668 nm. Compatible with standard Cy5/Crimson/Far Red filter sets or laser settings
• Increased sensitivity and specificity for actin relative to antibody staining
• Suitable for fixed and permeabilized samples

Excellent actin staining study results
Phalloidin is a bicyclic peptide isolated from the deadly Amanita “death cap” mushroom A class of toxins commonly used to selectively label F-actin in imaging applications. Compared with antibodies, fluorescently labeled phalloidin has several advantages in labeling actin, including: its binding properties to animal and plant actin from different species are almost the same, and the non-specific binding ratio is low. Phalloidin binds F-actin with high selectivity, and Alexa Fluor Plus 647 dye provides Cy5/far-infrared fluorescence with exceptional brightness and photostability.

Available in a variety of applications
Alexa Fluor Plus 647 Phalloidin can be used to visualize and quantify F-muscle in tissue sections, cell cultures, or cell-free preparations kinesin. The staining is fully compatible with other fluorescent stains used in cell analysis procedures, including fluorescent proteins, Qdot nanocrystals, and other Alexa Fluor conjugates (including secondary antibodies).
