Ambion™ ULTRAhyb™ contains a unique blend of hybridization promoters and blockers that greatly enhances the level of hybridization, therefore, Signals that used to take days to show up can now show up in hours. Supplied in a 125 mL bottle.

Use standard hybridization buffer, on blot Only 1–5% of the target molecules hybridize to the probe, making blotting a relatively insensitive method of nucleic acid analysis (Vernier et al. (1996) Anal Biochem 235:11-19). Using ULTRAhyb™ Ultra-Sensitive Hybridization Buffer, the hybridization reaction is nearly complete, allowing up to 10,000 molecules to be detected.

For any hybridization protocol
, ULTRAhyb™ is compatible with isotopically and non-isotopically labeled RNA and DNA probes in northerns, Southerns and dot/slot blot hybridizations. Product contains 50% formamide and is compatible with positively charged membranes (see accessories). ULTRAhyb™ requires less than 10–100x non-isotopic DNA probes compared to standard hybridization buffers, allowing for more hybridizations using single-label reactions.
