Ambion® TE Buffer is the generally recommended storage solution for RNA samples. 10 mM Tris-HCl, 1 mM EDTA, pH 7.0 dissolved in nuclease-free ultrapure water. It is available in a bottle with a capacity of 50 mL. The final step in every RNA isolation protocol is to resuspend the purified RNA pellet. After laborious isolation of RNA, it is critical to suspend and store the pellet in a safe, RNase-free solution. TE buffers are prepared from the purest reagents available under strictly monitored conditions in state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.
