ChargeSwitch™ gDNA Plant Kit uses magnetic bead technology to quickly prepare lysates in less than 15 minutes Efficiently isolate genomic DNA from fungal and plant samples including leaves, tissues and seeds.
•Optimized for higher purity DNA extraction
•Compatible with high-throughput protocols
•Suitable for a variety of downstream applications
Fast, three-step, based Purification Protocol for pHThe ChargeSwitch™ gDNA Plant Kit purifies genomic DNA from 50-100 mg of fungal and plant samples (including leaves, tissues, and seeds) (Figure 1), enabling both sample preparation and Up to 7 µg gDNA is typically obtained in less than 15 minutes after lysis. The ChargeSwitch™ gDNA Plant Kit uses magnetic beads with unique, ionizable functional groups whose affinity for nucleic acids is pH dependent, facilitating nucleic acid purification. Genomic DNA is isolated without the use of centrifugation or organic solvents with higher purity than silica-prepared DNA (which is often contaminated with guanidinium salts).
Compatible with single-tube and high-throughput protocolsThe ChargeSwitch™ gDNA Plant Kit is designed for automated processing of small sample volumes using liquid handling automation equipment or multi-channel pipettes ( individually) and bulk samples.
For processing up to 24 single assays at a time, the
MagnaRack™ two-piece magnetic Detach the pipe rack. The holder consists of a magnetic base and a removable tube rack that holds up to 24 microcentrifuge tubes and works with most ChargeSwitch™ products.
For high-throughput applications using 96-well modules, a
96-well Magnetic Separator is required. When placed on top of the magnetic base, the holder can accommodate and separate up to 96 magnetic bead samples in deep well plates.
Improve performance in demanding downstream applicationsChargeSwitch™ gDNA Plant Kit ensures reliable performance of the resulting gDNA and is routinely used in extremely sensitive applications including Genetically modified organism (GMO) screening. Other downstream applications include PCR, restriction enzyme digestion, and Southern blotting.
