Thermo Scientific RNase T1 is an endoribonuclease that specifically degrades single-stranded RNA at the G residue . It cleaves the phosphodiester bond between the 3'-guanosine residue and the 5'-OH residue of adjacent nucleotides by forming the corresponding intermediate 2', 3'-cyclic phosphate. The reaction products are 3'-GMP and oligonucleotides containing terminal 3'-GMP.
RNase T1 does not require metal ions for activity.
Applications• Removal of RNA from DNA preparations
• RNA sequencing
• RNase protection assay. For use with
RNase A• Removal of RNA from recombinant protein preparations
• RNA transcription Determination of the level of this protein (synthesized
in vitro from a DNA template containing a ''G-less tissue cassette'')
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
