Thermo Scientific T4 beta-glucosyltransferase (T4 BGT) converts uridine diphosphate glucose (UDP-glucose) The glucose group is transferred to the 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5-hmC) residue in double-stranded DNA, producing ß-glucosyl-5hydroxymethylcytosine.
Thermo Scientific T4 BGT is formulated for fast reaction times without compromising reaction efficiency. This enzyme can complete 5-hmC glucosylation of 1 μg of DNA in 15 minutes at 37°C.
