Thermo Scientific MboI restriction enzyme recognizes the ^GATC site and cuts best in R buffer at 37°C. Good (isoschizoases: BfuCI, BssMI, BstKTI, BstMBI, DpnII, Kzo9I, NdeII, Sau3AIm). Notes: Experiments were performed using lambda DNA (dam-) (#SD0021). MboI is blocked by overlapping dam methylation. To avoid dam methylation, use dam-, dcm- strains such as GM2163.
