Thermo Scientific Phire Plant Direct PCR Master Mix is designed to amplify DNA directly from plant samples. No DNA purification is required before PCR. The kit is based on Phire Hot Start II DNA Polymerase, a specially designed enzyme containing a DNA-binding domain. The unique characteristics of this DNA polymerase make it extremely stable and tolerant to a variety of PCR inhibitors contained in plant materials, such as complex polysaccharides, polyphenols and other substances.
Phire Plant Direct PCR Master Mix has been tested on leaves and seeds of a variety of plant species, as well as fungi, bacteria and yeasts. The kit includes a comprehensive set of optimized reagents and detailed protocols, making it ideal for plant DNA amplification.
Key Features•Direct PCR—The sample is added directly to the PCR reaction, eliminating the need for time-consuming and expensive DNA purification steps.
•Available dilution & storage protocols—allows dozens of PCR reactions to be performed from a tiny sample and allows for retesting
•Specially designed Phire Hot Start II DNA Polymerase—requires PCR protocols Very short time
• Master mix with premixed gel loading dye—minimizes the possibility of cross-contamination, reduces sample handling, and allows direct gel loading
