Thermo Scientific FastDigest DpnI restriction enzyme recognizes the Gm6A^TC site and performs well in 5–15 minutes at 37°C using universal FastDigest buffer. Isoschizase: MalI.
Thermo Scientific FastDigest DpnI is a premium line of fast restriction enzymes that are 100% active in both universal FastDigest and FastDigest Green reaction buffers.
Universal buffer supports rapid DNA single, double or multiple enzyme digestion in 5–15 minutes without the need for buffer changes or subsequent DNA purification steps. See
FastDigest Enzyme Reaction Conditions table for enzymatic activity, heat inactivation, and incubation of this and other FastDigest restriction enzymes time. DNA modifying enzymes (such as
Klenow fragment,
T4 DNA Ligase, alkaline phosphatase and
T4 DNA Polymerase) are 100% active in FastDigest buffer. Therefore, enzymes used in downstream applications can be added directly to the FastDigest reaction mixture.
For convenience, FastDigest Green buffer includes 1 density reagent and 2 tracking dyes for loading digestion reaction products directly onto the gel.
Shorter incubation times and optimized universal FastDigest buffer composition eliminate star activity effects.
Features• All FastDigest enzymes are 100% active in universal buffers
• 100% buffer compatible with downstream applications< br>• Complete digestion in 5–15 minutes
• Load directly onto gel
• No star activity
• 176 FastDigest enzymes available
Applications • Molecular cloning
• Restriction site mapping
• Genotyping
• Southern blot
• Restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP)< br>• SNP Analysis
Note: FastDigest Green Buffer has the same high performance as colorless FastDigest Buffer in DNA digestion reactions and downstream applications. For applications requiring product analysis by fluorescence excitation (such as determination of concentration under UV light), the use of colorless FastDigest buffer is recommended.
See product specifications for information on methylation sensitivity.
