Thermo Scientific GeneJET Endotoxin-Free Plasmid Maxiprep Kit is a fast, convenient, and efficient system for large-scale Purification of endotoxin-free plasmid DNA. Endotoxins are major contaminants in plasmid DNA preparations. Endotoxins are an important issue for transfection of sensitive cell lines. The samples are suitable for in vivo transfection because endotoxins elicit strong immune responses. The Thermo Scientific GeneJET Endotoxin-Free Plasmid Maxiprep Kit is designed to reduce endotoxin levels to <0.1 EU/µg plasmid DNA. The kit uses silicon-based membrane technology in a convenient spin column format.

Up to 1000 µg of high copy number plasmid DNA can be recovered from 350 mL of recombinant E. coli culture per preparation, which can be used in a variety of molecular biology procedures such as sensitive cells (e.g. Huh-7) Transfection, in vivo transfection, transformation, restriction endonuclease digestion, automated sequencing and in vitro transcription.
