Fast and convenient small RNA column purification procedure
The Ambion™ PureLink™ miRNA Isolation Kit is specifically designed to purify small RNA molecules from a variety of samples, typically in 15 minutes. (Including miRNA and siRNA) (see Table 1). This kit uses a silicon-based dual-column system specifically designed to enrich small RNA (shown in Figure 1). RNA larger than about 200 nucleotides binds to the first column. Ethanol was then added to the flow-through to increase the binding affinity of the small RNA to the glass fiber membrane in the second column. After binding to the second chromatographic column, the small RNA molecules are eluted, ready for use and do not contain large RNA molecules (such as 28S rRNA, 18S rRNA and mRNA), allowing concentrated expression analysis of small RNA molecules.

Purified RNA is suitable for use with a variety of downstream applications and products:
miRNA purified using the Ambion™ PureLink™ miRNA Isolation Kit is suitable for downstream applications, including RNA sequencing, Microarray analysis, Real-time PCR (qPCR ), reverse transcription real-time PCR (RT-qPCR) and Northern blot.
