Compared to RNA, the Quant-iT 1X dsDNA HS and BR Quantification Kit is highly selective for double-stranded DNA (dsDNA), providing an accurate method for quantification of dsDNA samples. To perform the assay, simply dilute your sample (any volume from 1–20 µL is acceptable) into the provided 1X working solution and read the concentration using the Qubit Fluorescence Plate Reader.
Quant-iT 1X dsDNA HS Quantification Kit accurately detects samples in assay tubes at initial concentrations from 10 pg/µL to 100 ng/µL (depending on sample volume), with a core detection range of 0.2 ng to 100ng DNA. The Quant-iT 1X dsDNA BR Quantification Kit accurately detects DNA samples with initial concentrations from 200 pg/µL to 4000 ng/µL (depending on sample volume), with a detection range of 4–4000 ng DNA.
dsDNA Quantification Kit has good tolerance to common contaminants such as salts, free nucleotides, solvents, detergents and proteins. The '1X' dsDNA Quantitation Kit provides reagents and buffers in ready-to-use formulations and is highly selective for dsDNA compared to ssDNA, RNA and proteins.
